County Attorney

I support Jeffrey R Buhman

Jeff Buhman left his job when he was called to active duty in Afghanistan. Before his departure I enjoyed working with him and found him very capable. My experience with Jeff and his service to the Country should have been enough to earn my support but when I heard rumors about his office I took the time to look deeper. I found that he is well respected by his staff and that those who work for him.

County Clerk/Auditor

I support Jacob Atkin

To many the race of County Clerk/Auditor will hold not interest. Not so for me. This is an important race. Provo City is dependent on the County for a quality election process and we have not had it. In the thick of a difficult election tabulation I couldn't even get a returned phone call from the elections office. In addition, I would like to see a much more aggressive approach to giving voters more options.

Expecting voters to vote on Election Day at one location is outdated and it’s time to make changes. I support Jacob Atkin because after meeting with him I think he gives us the best chance of improving the situation.

County Commission

I support Lorne Grierson

This morning the Daily Herald endorsed Lorne Grierson for the County Commission. I also support Lorne. I told both candidates that I was a single issue voter. The issue is BRT. Lorne supports it and Bill Lee does not. There is no way that we can handle the growth coming our way without BRT. The Herald articulates many other reasons to vote for Lorne. If you are undecided please read their entire article.
